Welcome to Sea Mills Primary School. My name is Sian Randall and I am the Head teacher of this amazing school, one of Bristol’s few Children Centres and Primary School. I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you about our school and the children and staff within it. We are very proud of the fact that high quality teaching leads to good and outstanding progress; so many of our children learn faster than their peers locally and nationally.
Our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Aspiration are always at the heart of everything we do and at Sea Mills Primary we aim to give every child the very best start possible to their education through vibrant and engaging teaching, enabling the children to become active learners and by using an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum.
The Early Years are crucial to a child’s development and our Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 enable the children to get their school careers off to a flying start. As part of this, we offer free places for eligible families and paid sessions. For more information, visit or contact the school office.
Throughout the school we want our children to enjoy a wide range of experiences which bring the curriculum to life and make learning fun. All of our staff work hard to ensure the best possible quality of education for the children in every year group. It would be totally normal for you to see teachers dressed up in costumes for our WOW days or children tasting chocolate exploring exciting questions such as ‘What would happen if we stopped eating chocolate?’
At Sea Mills, we take great pleasure in celebrating any success be it academic or personal. We know this helps the children develop their self-confidence and self-esteem, which in turn encourages them to continue to do their very best. We hold a weekly celebration assembly plus a range of events throughout the year where we invite parents into the school to help us celebrate the achievements of all the children.
We hope this website has given you an introduction to our school. If you have any questions, please call us or, better still, come and see us at work during a school day. The teachers, children and I will be very pleased to welcome you.
I’ll leave you with our school motto ‘Aspire, believe, succeed’ and look forward to seeing you soon!
