Cycle to School Week 2026

Last week was Cycle to School Week and lots of children and adults across the school rode their bikes to school. As well as this, all children took part in an assembly and a range of activities in their classrooms to find out more about the benefits of cycling for our bodies and minds, as well as the environment.

October – Author Visit

Key Stage Two enjoyed a wonderful visit from a famous Author named Fleur Hitchcock who shared her book ‘Mallory Towers’ with Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. We then enjoyed a wonderful book sale after where many books were sold. Thank you for a brilliant afternoon!

Harvest at St Edyths – October 2026

We had a wonderful Harvest Service at St Edyth with all of the classes sharing harvest poems and singing harvest songs.  The children were very confident when reading and also sang with great enthusiasm, especially Cauliflowers Fluffy!

Thanks to all families who donated food for our harvest collection.  They have been collected for the North Bristol Food Bank.

Year 5 Tag Rugby

Tag Rugby has proved to be a huge hit in year 5. In our first session, we practised our throwing and catching skills and learnt some of the rules. In our second session, the year 5 athletes were playing full tag rugby games!
