Welcome to Term 1
Reminders
We will continue to be athletes using the outdoor classroom and trym trail at least once a week and remind you to bring in spare clothes and welly boots as appropriate, as we will be exploring the outdoor environments in all weathers.
Spare clothes
Please don’t forget to bring a bag of spare clothes for your child. Children at this age are always get wet and dirty through water play and messy play. Your child will really appreciate having their own clothes to change into. If your child has come home in any of our spare clothes then please send these back to us as soon as possible, or if you have any donations of spare clothes, these are always greatly received.
Interactive Learning Diary
Are you signed up to see your child’s learning diary? If you need any help accessing your account, then please let us know. If you are new to us, you will receive details of how to log on to see your child’s learning diary by your child’s key person. You are also able to upload pictures and information about things you do at home, which we always love to see!
Lunches
For the families that attend a 12pm session, whilst we understand that your children will become hungry before nursery, we would like to encourage you to give them a mid-morning snack so that when they arrive at nursery, they are ready to sit down with their friends for lunch.
Polite reminder about packed lunches. Please ensure that lunches are healthy, balanced and varied. Please remember that NUTS are NOT ALLOWED, and grapes need to be cut in half. No chocolate please (chocolate on biscuits is ok)
We discourage any sugary drinks, No FIZZY (flavoured water is fine). We also provide milk and water during the session.

Sea Mills Primary School 2 year old Nursery...
...are now offering places for 2 year old children.
Two Year Old Places
We are now offering a limited number of paid places for our Two Year Old Nursery room. You can choose a mixture of mornings and afternoons but there must be a minimum of 3 sessions per week.
£25.00 per 3 hour session (9am-12pm, or 12pm-3pm), £50.00 for the whole day (9am-3pm). Please speak to a member of staff in the Two Year Old Nursery (or Nursery Administrator) if you are interested or wish to reserve a place for when your child turns two
Some 2-year-olds in England can get free early education and childcare.
You must be getting one of the following:
- Income Support
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
- tax credits and have an annual income under £16,190 before tax
- the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
- the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
- Universal Credit
Children are also entitled to a place if:
- they’re looked after by a local council
- they have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education health and care plan
- they get Disability Living Allowance
- they’ve left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order
