Welcome to Year 1!
Welcome back to Term 4! It is fantastic to have everyone back together.
This term, we will be settling back into our school routines, reminding ourselves of our classroom rules and socialising again with our peers. Every Thursday Morning, I will have PPA time and Mrs Roberts will teach. As Athletes, we will have P.E be every Tuesday afternoon and Thursday Morning. PE kits will be sent home every week to be washed. Please ensure you follow the distancing measures and contact us via email if you have any concerns. Many thanks for your continued support! Miss Bathgate
From this term, spellings will be uploaded onto the website. There will be two sets of spellings. Please practise regularly at home as we will revise these every week during our speedy spellings.
Please continue to read daily with your child. Every Friday, reading prizes will be given to those children who read 5x at home with an adult.
I can believe in myself.

Welcome back! All children have settled back into the classroom fantastically. We have been enjoying lots of time with our friends, exploring our classroom again and learning all about Spring. The children have engaged in lots of mark making activities and applied this when making and designing their own blossom trees. We have also been practising our handwriting, holding and writing sentences and revising our number bonds to 10 and 20. Over the next few weeks, we will be continuing our learning about frogs and writing a non-chronological report all about them. Well done Year 1 on a great first week back – we are all very proud of you 😊.
Exciting times ahead!
It is fantastic to be back! This term, we are learning all about Autumn. We enjoyed going on a scavenger hunt around our bubble zone to find signs of this new season. We have also enjoyed learning about Bonfire night and using oil pastels as Artists to make our own Firework pictures. We are looking forward to the next few weeks of learning.
Road Safety Week
To celebrate road safety week, we learnt all about how to make sure we cross the road safely.
Miss Bathgate taught us a catchy phrase ‘Stop, Look, Listen and Cross!’ We learnt a song about road safety and acted this out.
We then drew a poster of ourselves with a trusted grown up crossing the road safely and shared this with our learning partner.
